Is good efucation meant only for the elite? Thats what is happeninghere. Poor children attend schools with meagree resouces whereas children from affluent homes atten fe-levying schools which have good facilities.

When are we in Indiagoing to realize the importance of educating our children through its motherongue? Before Independence itas different. We had Gandhi and Tagore whose educational thoughts guided our educational practices. Now people are crazy about the English medium. It looks as if we need another Gandhi to bring about a revolution in education.

There was a time--that was before we got independence--e all realized the need for educating our children oly through is mothertongue. Alas! what is happeing in India now? Everyone seems to be crazy about the English medium schools.When will our people realizethat we are stifling all creativity in children through the foreign medium? What are the so-called experts and educationists doing? It looks we need another Gandhi and a mass movement to save our children and the future of our country.
